Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

An example of critical thinking and problem solving:

I was working in a classroom with a child that had ADHD. He was generally a happy, friendly student, and very easy going. However, he had some distraction issues. It was very challenging at transition time from going outside to inside (or vice versa), and especially in the mornings.
Instead of putting on/off his clothes, he would forget what he was supposed to do, choose to chat with other students, and would end up being the last one to get his tasks completed.
I chose to create a system for him on boardmaker. He still needed friendly reminders, but getting him on task in the morning was much easier, and faster. The big win was that he was very proud of himself, and that made him even more motivated.
