I created a game called "Speech Frog" to help students that had issues with particular letters/sounds
Object of the game
Improve pronunciation of particular letters/sounds, and to have fun!
Students need to "get the frogs home!"
They have the power to get the frogs moving!
The game is to get each of the 10 frogs off a blank lily pads onto each word lily pad. This is achieved by using the correct pronunciation of each word, that starts with the sound /r/. This doesn’t have to be accomplished at one time. Full instructions/steps are included with the game.
I used BoardMaker to create PECS to assist a student with their morning/afternoon routine, and mask changing.
The student was struggling with the order of morning/afternoon routine, and had to have many reminders. Even so, she was still getting off shoes while the rest of the class was starting their agenda tasks.
In order to lessen the reminders, and give her more independence, I created three lines of PECS to be used at appropriate times.
The student was so happy that she was able to move faster, and be more independent. She loved the system, and was very proud of herself.
